C(DU WW 4 BOAZ; Ellis' E. Moody has been named dean of Snead Col- lege. President Virgil B. McCain, announced today that Moody3 had accepted the permanent appointment and is continuing with his duties. 1 He hat served as acting -dean since the death of J.

Edwin Rush in August. Dr. McCain said, "Dean Moody's wide experience and training in the field of education makes him well qualified, for this important position, His ability to get along with the faculty and students will. enam mm to continue nis outstanding work for Snead College." The new dean is a native of St. Clair County.

He took his college training at Howard followed -with graduate work at 7 the University of Alabama. He taught in St. Clair County for several years, including four and one half years as county superintendent of education. In 1935 he joined the staff at Snead serving as head of the academy division and then as an instructor in history. In 1943-44, he was business man ager of west Virginia wesieyan College.

He returned to Boat in 1944 and served for thirteen' years as principal of Boas High School. Dean Moody rejoined the Snead staff in 19S7 as an instructor in history and sociology and dean of students.
