Mr. Waldorf was a native of West Almond, N.Y., and had lived in Anniston for two and a half years before moving to Albany. He was retired from the U.S. Army and had served in the Korean War. He had worked as a security guard.

(AP) A "big, mean, wild hog" that had gored nearly a dozen farm animals and scared parents in two counties was tracked down and shot to death Saturday by a hog hunter and Georgia game wardens. Roscoe Davis of Douglas, whose pack of 10 hog dogs cornered the big razorback, said he thought the animal probably weighed 275 to 300 pounds. The hunt began at dawn in an area of Richmond County that includes some light industry, modern subdivisions and open land. By 10 o'clock, the bog had been spotted and Davis' dogs were on the trail. "It was all over by 11," said Gib Johnston of the Department of Natural Resources.

"They had the hog cornered and one of the catch dogs had him.
