Re She was 99. was a -very dedicated -and competent Griff -Perry fortamer organist from Parker Smith Memorial Baptist Church. "Many of (her) students are still very active in the Anniston area and elsewhere piano teachers and also as fine performers." Mrs.

Smith was also active in many music organizations and events. Pallbearers will be David Baldwin, Danny Baldwin, Paul Masters, Clinton Murphy, Randall -Dingler and Peter Maley. wee Mr. Baldwin had lived in Piedmont for the past 30 years.

He was a member of the Piedmont Church of God. Brown "LINEVILLE Services for Abner Brown, 93, of 'Lineville, will be announced by Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville. Ms. Brown died Sunday at Lineville Nursing Facility. Finn Services for William J.

"Bill" Finn, 80, of 907 N. Ledbetter Anniston, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Burial will be in Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight.

Mr. Finn died Friday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a daughter, Brown of Anniston; two "sons, Michael P. Finn of Bynum Martin W. Finn of Anniston; five grandchildren and two will be Ronnie Brown, Jerry Hopper, Jeffery Philharmonic Choral Club, and was director, vice president and president of the Knox Music Club.

Graveside services for Mrs. Smith will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. John's Ridout's-Elmwood Chapel will be in charge. Mrs.

Smith was a graduate of Columbia Institute in Tennessee. She studied piano in New York and London and received a bachelor of music degree from BirminghamSouthern College's Conservatory of Music. She taught classes in a number of places until settling in Anniston. While living here, she was also a member of Grace Episcopal Church, the Wednesday Study Club and the Anniston Country Club. In Birmingham, she was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent, the Alabama Federation of Music Clubs and the Birmingham Music Teachers' Association.

Survivors include two greatnephews, a great-niece and some cousins. Memorials may be made to St. Martin's in the Pines, 4941 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, 35210; the Cathedral Church of the Advent or Birmingham-Southern College. Brown, Joel Hopper, Michael Finn Brent Morrow. Mr.

Finn was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving as gunnery sergeant with the Company, 2nd Battalion, 26th Marines, 5th Marine Division. He served in Iwo Jima and the Pacific campaign. Freeman Services for Ella M. Freeman, 74, of West announced Pope Street, Anniston, will be by Ervin Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Freeman died Sunday at Regional Medical Center. Gamble TALLADEGA Graveside services for Mary Elizabeth Gamble, 73, of Talladega, were today at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. A.D. Lynn officiating and Talladega Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Gamble died Saturday at her home. Survivors include three grandchildren, Robyn Gamble of Lincoln, Kelly Williams of Munford and Eddie Gamble of Talladega; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gamble was a Clay County native, a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Talladega and a retired textile worker.

Hendrix LINEVILLE Services for Wyatt Hendrix, 98, of Lineville, will be announced by Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland. Mr. Hendrix died Sunday at Lineville Nursing Facility. McWilliams and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McWilliams was a member of Olive Hills Baptist Church. Maton COLLINSVILLE Services for Dewey T. Maton, 48, of Collinsville, will be announced by Jordan Funeral Home of Centre. Mr.

Maton, formerly of Cherokee County, died Sunday in BoazAlbertville Medical Center. OXFORD Services for Shirley G. McWilliams, 72, of 311 Greenwood Court, Oxford, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Griffin, Leggett, Healey and Roth Chapel, Little Rock, Ark. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Miller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. McWilliams died Saturday at her home. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Burns of Oxford and Carol Crandall of Columbia, two sons, Charles McWilliams of Conway, and Fred Johnson of Mammoth Spring, a sister, Arlene Smith of Little Rock; a brother, Lloyd Brimer arkana, Texas; 11 grandchildren Railey WADLEY Services for Herbert Railey, 75, of Wadley, will be announced by Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville. Mr.

Railey died Sunday at Clay County Nursing Home. Schultz SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Memorial services for William B. Schultz 71, were Sunday in Scottsdale. Mr.

Schultz, formerly of Calhoun County, died Friday in Scottsdale. Survivors include a daughter, Robin Morton of Scottsdale; two sisters, Virginia Cole of Gadsden and Doris Schultz of Ohatchee; and a brother, George Schultz of Gadsden. Mr. Schultz, a Calhoun County native, was a former resident of Birmingham. He retired from South Central Bell with 41 years of service.

Sistrunk SCOTTSDALE, Ga. Services for Eloise Sistrunk, 36, of Scottsdale, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Anniston Funeral Services with Rev. James Knox officiating. Burial will be in Jennifer Cemetery.

Miss Sistrunk died Tuesday at Scottsdale. Survivors include five daughters, Roychell Sistrunk, Tasha Sistrunk, Chrystal Sistrunk, Valencia Sistrunk and Eddiemarie Sistrunk, all of Atlanta; her mother, Cora Sistrunk of Anniston; two sisters, Annie P. Mackey of Anniston and Rosie Wright of Houston; five brothers, John C. Sistrunk of Albuquerque, N.M., and Walter Sistrunk of Cincinnati, Leroy Sistrunk and Johnny Sistrunk, both of Anniston, and Edward Sistrunk of Montgomery; and a grandchild. Miss Sistrunk was a Talladega native and a graduate of Ophelia High School in Munford.

She worked as a security guard at the Georgia Dome. She was a member of Miracle Revival Temple. Slayton GAYLESVILLE Services for Charles Jeffery Slayton, 18, of Gaylesville, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at New Prospect 1 Baptist Church with Revs. Mickey Skates and Sanford Deberry officiating.

Burial will be in Faith Cemetery. Mr. Slayton died Saturday in Cherokee County. Survivors include his parents, Charlie and Betty Tapp Slayton of Gaylesville; five sisters, Doris Slayton of Florida, Lisa Slayton of Trion, Sheila Mobbs of Gaylesville, Debbie Daniel Lafayette, and Vickie Rich of Summerville, two brothers, Gene Slayton of Gaylesville and Gene McDonald of Lafayette; and his grandmothers, Minnie Slayton of Centre and Bertha Tapp of Summerville. A Cherokee County native, Mr.

Slayton attended Gaylesville High School. Stewart EASTABOGA Services for Enoch D. Stewart 80, of Eastaboga, were today at Usrey Funeral Home, Talladega, with Rev. Harold Payne officiating. Burial was in Eastaboga Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart died Saturday at his home. Survivors include his wife, Reba Two industries receive state grants $39,000 in grants this morning to two local industries. Elmer Wheatley, research and economic development manager for the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, said the site preparation grants are designed to give new manufacturing industries a boost. The money, which will help the companies establish their plants, comes from the state government. (DMI) to construct a new building in the Greenbrier Industrial Park in Anniston, Alabama.

The total estimated project cost is $200,000. The Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) amount is $60,000. It has been determined that such request for release of funds will not constitute an action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment, and accordingly, EARPDC will not prepare an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (PL 91190). The reasons for the decision not to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement are as follows: No adverse impacts could be identified. An Environmental Review Record conceming the within project has been made by EARPDC which documents the environmental review of the project and more fully sets forth the reasons why such statement is not required.

This Environmental Review Record is on file at the above address and is available for public examination and copying, upon request, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No further environmental review for such project is proposed to be conducted prior to the request for release of Federal funds. All Interested agencies, groups and persons disagreeing with this decision are invited to submit written comments to the address above for consideration by EARPDC. Such written comments must be received before January 12, 1994.
